Meet the founder
Pastor Joey Sandlin is the founder and an instructor of Faith Life Champions Bible Institute, where his passion is “Training Champions of Faith.” With 40 years of preaching and ministry experience, he is committed to helping believers understand the Word of God, deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and become equipped to serve others.
As pastor of Faith Life Tabernacle in West Union, Ohio, Pastor Joey brings decades of pastoral leadership and practical ministry experience to his teaching. His instruction emphasizes the authority of Scripture, faith, prayer, divine healing, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and the believer’s authority through Jesus Christ. Grounded in the King James Bible and shaped by Word of Faith and Pentecostal traditions, his teaching combines careful biblical study with clear, encouraging, and practical application.
Pastor Joey’s message is also shaped by a deeply personal testimony. At age 19, he was diagnosed with leukemia and spent months in the hospital, including a bone marrow transplant. He credits God with sustaining him through that difficult season and bringing him through to recovery. That experience continues to shape his ministry and strengthens his desire to help others stand firm in faith and hope through life’s greatest challenges.
Through Faith Life Champions Bible Institute, Pastor Joey provides accessible, meaningful biblical instruction for believers who desire a deeper walk with God. His goal is to help students apply the Word of God in everyday life: praying with confidence, walking in love, and serving through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Joey and his wife, Becky, have four children: Victoria, Tyler, Ashlynn, and Zack.
Membership

Learn together
Many members study on their own during the week and then talk it through on Sunday or Wednesday night. Short, focused lessons make it easy for a group leader to assign one during the week and lead the conversation together.
